for cinema and the arts

Drawing from Founder & Director Sonali Joshi’s vast experience insubtitling and accessibility, we provide subtitles, translation, audio-description and other access services for the film industry andthe arts.

Our practice is strongly informed by our own work in and vast knowledge of film exhibition and distribution, with a distinctly ‘film studies’ approach, all with the aim of enhancing the viewing experience for audiences.

With this sensibility towards cinema, through her career, Sonali has developed a unique and meticulous approach to subtitling, embracing rigorous linguistic, technical and theoretical principles, in order to:

  • enhance the film viewing experience, enabling films to be presented in their best possible form for wide and diverse audiences
  • respect the author’s intention and style, cultural contexts and nuances
  • present windows on other cultures, societies and ideas
